Politicians Shut Out of South Carolina Dean Search

If you believe this partisan voice of insider South Carolina politics, lots of folks were surprised to learn that the dean search at the University of South Carolina School of Law did not yield any finalists with political ties.  Both William Hubbard - a USC trustee - and former state Attorney General Henry McMaster had been mentioned as candidates for deanship.  Neither appeared among the final five.
