Dean Tom Mengler from St. Thomas (MN) to St. Mary's (TX)

Thomas Mengler, the outgoing dean of St. Thomas School of Law (Minneapolis), will be joining St. Mary's University in San Antonio Texas this summer.  He will be the school's new president.  Menger formerly served as the dean of the University of Illinois College of Law.

The American Law Institute announced the election of 27 new members.  Nine of these individuals are law professors.  They are:

Widener Prof. Connell Settles Lawsuit Against the School

There's a brief news item here, with almost no meaningful detail except that the outcome of Professor Connell's defamation lawsuit was that he ended up resigning his position at the school! This confirms my earlier suspicion that there was a lot more going on here than was in the public domain.
