While many of us were busy shuttling between two or three hotels in San Francisco, last week, two law professors learned that they'd been renominated to the federal bench. Goodwin Liu, from UC Berkeley, and Victoria Nourse, from Wisconsin, were renominated to the Ninth and Seventh Circuits, respectively. Naturally, newly elected Wisconsin Republican Senator Ron Johnson promptly expressed unhappiness with Nourse's renomination.
