New Ranking of Canadian Law Schools...

...here.  This year, we made several adjustments to the data, in response to helpful feedback last year:  we added hiring by major firms in cities, like Edmonton, that had been unrepresented or underrepresented using the Canadian analogue of the Vault list of the most prestigious law firms; we expanded the public sector hiring to include graduates hired as law professors around the country; and we expanded the database of journals for the scholarly impact measure to include leading law journals outside Canada.  All the details, and the rankings, are at the MacLean's site.  The top five law schools overall were, in order, Toronto, McGill, Osgoode, British Columbia, and Victoria.  Toronto and Osgoode tied for first in the scholarly impact measure.

UPDATE:  Thoughtful and interesting analysis from Ben Alarie (Toronto) here.
