Story here. Vanderbilt is, like Emory, one of those wealthy private universities that underperforms as a major research university, with only a handful of its departments and schools ranking even in the top 20 in the U.S. (the Law School being one). Will Chancellor Zeppos be able to take Vanderbilt to the next level? Time will tell.
